Aaaaand that’s a shattered collarbone. I’m about 10 months into healing and still feeling the bone fill in. Being old hurts. Its slow. Got about 2 more months off then should be 100% back on it. This little bobble brought some of the heaviest physical & mental pain ive endured in my life, but I channeled that misery into building @myndvice . This crash was a harsh slap in the face proving my days grinding off 12 foot roofs to flat are numbered, so I’m figuring out some safer ways to get my highs. Making music rips but I don’t always wanna be staring at a screen. Partying is fun but that shxt isn’t sustainable. Kendama is dope but sometimes i dont wanna put that much effort into accessing da hone zone. So I traced my path back to my first high - sitting around my grandma mac’s table playing liars dice, spoons, horserace, rummikub, and cribbage with the fam. After 9 prototype boards, 1620 playtested games, & roughly 4200 high fives over the last 6 months, 3LOW Dice Game (Safari Edition), is out now and available online. Screen printed and hand cut + sewn in New Orleans, LA. Shoutout to all the people that painfully supported me throughout this process. It was frustrating af, but pretty damn certain we created endless free serotonin in your pocket - and we’ve got more downtime hobbies and games on the way that’ll scratch your itch.

I was on my way to a spiritual ceremony when I saw I got the cover of the biggest BMX magazine on earth. It’s been a dream of mine for 21 years. I’ve been in a deep slump lately and didn’t really know how to react. Here are some thoughts that popped into my head throughout the weekend: - it’s time to sharpen my sword. put as much effort as i did with BMX into every craft i want to master. focus is the answer - treat your partner and family with the utmost respect and love. be a great friend, always offer a helping hand - build your life into compartmentalized pillars. grow each one - be proud of yourself for what you’ve accomplished - bring your family to your favorite places on earth - my body is a temple. its my vessel. treat it with love and respect. stop abusing alcohol - be patient. stop talking over others. listen - trying to control things is not being a leader. in order to lead, you must be a beam of light and show people how you do it - love yourself. love others. it all comes down to spreading immense love at the end of the day - we are incredibly blessed to be on this earth. honor and cherish every moment. every day is a new day, every moment is a new moment. you can change your mood at anytime with meditation, focus, and empathy - forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made. forgive others for the mistakes they’ve made. we are all human and no one is perfect - you cant decorate the house before you build the foundation - its ok to forget. its ok to suck. its ok to fail. all we can do is try and try again. that is the foundation Can’t thank @wesmcgrath enough for being a photo beast and always sticking with me. Wouldn’t recommend riding with a half filled in shattered-ish collarbone buuuuut the woodward x bsd x try again foundation trip was already booked. Pretty sure this was my first clip back after the injury. Afterwards I tried a little tech line at the same park. Peg got caught up on a ledge and bodied on my chest. Look up and the whole crew is staring at me jaw dropped waiting for me to say I’m dust again. Luckily it ended up staying intact. Kept biking a whole lot chiller since this day last summer.
