I stand by it. The one device I cannot live without is LED. Multi purpose. Multi talented. Works every time. Just because you can't "feel" it. Doesn't mean it isn't working. And if you are like me, you actually can feel it. But the proof is always in the pudding- the difference in your skin is always there! Most treatments include LED. But if they do not. We cam add it. For years we've taught to manage our skin only from the outside. Cleansers. Serums. Spot treatments. But skin is a reflection organ. What is happening internally will more often than not show up on the surface. These are three simple things I focused on that made a noticeable difference in how my skin behaved and looked. 1. Cooked and cooled rice This is a source of resistant starch, which acts as a prebiotic. That means it feeds the beneficial bacteria in your gut, rather than adding new bacteria like a probiotic. When your gut environment is supported, you often see improvements in inflammation, digestion, and overall skin balance. What this means for you: If your skin feels reactive or inconsistent, your gut environment may be playing a role. 2. Oily fish (salmon, tuna, sardines) These are rich in omega 3 fatty acids, which help regulate inflammation in the body. Inflammation is a key driver behind many skin concerns, including congestion, sensitivity, and impaired barrier function. What this means for you: Supporting inflammation internally can help your skin feel calmer and more resilient over time. 3. Protein with every meal Protein provides the building blocks for skin repair and healthy tissue function. It also helps stabilise blood sugar levels, which plays a role in hormone regulation. I didn’t set out to become “the skin girl.” Film makeup is Creative. Fast. Transformative. Fascinating. I love the art of it. And how every day and makeup is different. But somewhere along the way, I realised I was thinking increasingly about the skin underneath than the makeup. Why was it inflamed? Why was the texture changing? Some shower thoughts. Your skin responds to standards. You have to prep your skin at home. Daily. I can only prep the clinical space to achieve what you've allowed me to. Much like going to the gym and prepping your food. If the bed ain't perfect. Neither is the facial. I said what I said.
