this song was written in response to, among other things, the ongoing genocide in Gaza. over 300 days! this should not be normal, and we cannot allow ourselves to live life like it is while such atrocities are happening to our siblings all over the world. this song is about not just standing by even though we’re conditioned to. get up, don’t hide, raise your voice, let the wave take you. gotta kill the fear!

Which is funny because this release has been filling me up with joy and appreciation for the lifelong friendships this project represents! Love and joy and passion always bringing us back to creating together. Im so so thankful for that, it’s the best part of my life. peacewise silence is out today. Holy shit!!! We’ve released no shortage of music since our last LP in 2017, but this still feels like a moment. Proud is an understatement.
