Waited a little while for this. Whilst on tour in the UK in 2022, @newenafrobeat performed this very special collaboration with @delesosimi live at @youngthugsstudio in York. So much love and joy on this day. ❤️

Here it is, the first live session from the new studio, so thrilled to have @pleasurecentreband in for this one with their track Talkboy. Great band and wonderful humans.
We'll be running these sessions all year, collaborating with some of the most interesting music makers in the North.
🎥 - @nathanlukefilms - Thanks for your help and capturing something beautiful.
A few months ago we had the pleasure of spending two days with Sam Griffiths from @thehowlandthehum over at @youngthugsstudio in York, where he performed a number of tracks for the first instalment of our new ‘Hartwood Sessions’ series.
Here’s a clip of one of our favourites, ‘No One Has To Know’. Sam’s playing the Hartwood Electro Resonator in Butterscotch through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Sofa Sofa (pictured) are a five piece folk group singing the songs of Charly McCabe and Rich Corrigan.
They've just been going since last year but are already one of my faves on the scene, combining beautiful songs with genuinely interesting instrumentation. And Charly's vocals really cut right through to your soul!
Get down early to see them at around 7:45.

Sunglasz Vendor (pictured) are a three piece from Bristol.
"Formed from members of Bristol's avant-garde underbelly (Bingo Fury, Ex-Agent, Grandchild) at the start of 2023, Sunglasz Vendor’s sees devout experimentalists turn to embrace the eternal comforts of rock radio hooks, pensive emo, and Kerrang! teenage angst.
The result is a daringly skittish attempt at nostalgia; a classic guitar/bass/drums trio where all the elements are grating up against each other, teetering on the edge between the Guitar Hero canon and free-form anarchy."
They've just put out a new single, "Was On Fire" which is ace - recorded with Joe Futak (producer of The Howl and The Hum and Tapir!) in London.
ffo classic 90s emo a la American Football and mathy 2010s kerrang bands like Rolo Tomassi
