Connecting Dots — thank you. ❤️ Over the past weeks, this project traveled across cities, rehearsals, late-night logistics, airports, countless emails, moving equipment, score revisions, conversations, dinners, and performances — and somehow became something far larger than I could have imagined when Xiaofeng and I first started dreaming about it together. To Xiaofeng(@xiaofeng_jxf )— thank you for building this project with me from the very beginning, and for believing in it through every stage of the process. I want to sincerely thank every composer, performer, collaborator, and audience member who became part of this experience. And to everyone who came to the concerts in Boston and Baltimore: thank you for listening, supporting, talking with us afterward, and giving this music your time and attention. New music only truly exists when it is shared with people, and your presence made these performances meaningful. What moved me most throughout this project was realizing again how music creates connections between people who may have never otherwise crossed paths — across cities, countries, backgrounds, and artistic practices. I hope this is only the beginning of many more collaborations and friendships to come.
