Last night, my buddy @dohlee and I saw My Neighbor Totoro in theaters. It was my first time watching it. Doh had seen it before, but still came with me, even though he wanted to watch F1 or Superman (what a guy). I enjoyed it. It felt like I was reclaiming my innocence a bitโฆ or something like that. Anyway, it also made me want to pick up a pencil and draw.

Ukrainian writer and human rights activist Victoria Amelina was tragically killed in a missile strike in 2023, before she could finish ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐ง. The book was completed posthumously using her notes and recordings. It combines her personal reflections with eyewitness accounts of war crimes and life in frontline areas after Russiaโs full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The result is a powerful and intimate portrait of the war through the eyes of women.

Had the opportunity to design the cover for the memoir of one of my all-time favorite rappers, Ghostface Killah (@ghostfacekillah ) of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan ๐. To me, Ghostface is undeniably one of the greatest storytellers in hip hop history. After all these years, โAll That I Got Is Youโ still gets me tear up a little whenever I hear it. And just as he does so well with his lyrics, Ghostface paints vivid pictures with his words, sharing personal stories in each chapter.
For the cover, Ghostface requested the same typography style as his โIronmanโ album cover, which you can see in the next slides. The book is filled with exclusive photos, memorabilia, and graphic art commissioned for the book.
Just in time for the release of his new album, โSet the Toneโ, the book is out now via @stmartinspress
