#TBT We’re almost one week in #backtoschool for most scholars and I’m still smiling from collaborating with Delegate Addison and Senator McCray for our Inaugural #Scholarship Award Ceremony.
We hold their achievements and forthcoming successes in high regard.
As they forge ahead on their path, I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their collective support network! #Maryland #EastBaltimore #NortheastBaltimore
Speaking at Hamilton’s 2025 8th grade commencement was a full circle moment.
Proud to celebrate the hard work and future of a place that helped shape me. #YourAdvocate
Engaging discussions unfolded in our recent townhall with the 45th and 8th legislative district teams, delving deep into the future of our community. The commitment to reevaluation and practical solutions in the realm of public safety, resonates strongly with me.
I remain dedicated as we navigate these conversations, working together to enhance the safety and well-being of our community. #CommunityEngagement #SafetyFirst

I am incredibly grateful for the team that helped carry us through the 2026 Legislative Session. Their hard work, long hours, and commitment to serving the people of the 45th District made all the difference.
Thank you to Juwan Davidson, Chief of Staff, @keepingupwithjd20 , for your steady leadership and dedication; Daniel Mosley, Legislative Aide, for your tireless work and support throughout session; and Cedric Spencer, Intern and Community Liaison, @czarsicxaso_808 , for bringing energy, heart, and commitment to our community every step of the way.
I appreciate each of you more than words can express. Thank you for helping us serve with excellence this session.

Happy Sine Die.
Today marks the close of the legislative session in Annapolis, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the 45th District throughout this session.
Thank you to every resident, advocate, community partner, and colleague who showed up, spoke out, and stayed engaged. Your voices matter, and your partnership helps move our work forward.
As we adjourn, I remain committed to fighting for Baltimore, standing with our communities, and continuing the work beyond session.
What issue would you like to see us keep pushing on after session?

8 DAYS LEFT in the 2026 Legislative Session!
We have been working hard for District 45, and as we head into the final stretch before Sine Die on April 13, here is what we have accomplished together and what we are still fighting for.
WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED:
- Banned ICE 287(g) agreements to protect our immigrant communities
- Passed a $70B+ budget with $10.2B for public education
- Secured energy relief to save Marylanders $150+ per year on utility bills
- Advancing HB 1149 and HB 1569 for District 45
STILL FIGHTING FOR YOU:
- Good Cause Evictions: Protecting renters from unjust removal
- Youth Charging Reform: Keeping kids in the juvenile system where they belong
- Affordable Housing and Transit Funding for our communities
The work is not done yet. Stay tuned, stay engaged, and let us finish strong!
