In the past few months I’ve started roasting small batches of specialty coffee and serving some funky brews alongside my handmade cups. Bringing these two worlds together feels like a natural path for BYONI.
And you can trust my completely unbiased opinion, coffee really does taste better from my cups.
Whether at my markets or at home, each cup is an invitation to enjoy a moment for yourself and/or with those around you.
So come by my upcoming market at De Hallen on September 27th to explore (and maybe take home) my new cup collection, and sip on exceptional coffee from Panama 🫶
Seems like specialty coffee is slowly becoming mainstream which I think is great!
BUT… when big supermarket chains greenwash customers and hide behind vague claims, it totally defeats the purpose.
I originally planned to just taste and rate this coffee.
But the more I looked for real info, the more I realized this episode turned into a mini investigation.
No info on region, farm, no variety, or processing, just big impact promises.
About that 83+ SCA score they highlight, yes, anything above 80 is technically considered specialty coffee. But that alone doesn’t make it truly specialty.
Final verdict? One Brew Stand.
It only costs €12.79 for 500g, but I’d rather support transparent roasters with no BS.
Part 2 - Let’s see whether they reply to my email asking for more info.
Some people ask me what do I use my cups for , today I went with filter coffee but you can definitely have a flat white or whatever else comes to your naughty mind ;)
It’s really up to you!
Hope to see you on the 19th of July at the @afterglow.audio market. All my new cups, some freshly brewed coffee, and I will be there from 14:00-20:00 🫶

So I had my morning coffee around seven hours ago…
But I also really felt like a cold beer.
Why not try combining both?
What should I brew with next? Drop your wildest ideas below.
(Maybe I should just stick to hot water…)

Guatemala / Yellow Caturra / Natural - pineapple, tropical fruits, berries
Brazil / Yellow Bourbon / Natural - red currant, elderflower
Costa Rica / Obata / Natural - grape juice, brown sugar
Costa Rica / Catuai / Honey - rosé, passion fruit
