Letting my first album free to the stars 🌠 Netzach was a project I thought would never see the finish line. I gave up several times, but after the passing of my aunt Cheryl I knew that wasn’t an option. This album is dedicated to her. I came out the other side of this a different person(I grew up), and maybe the real netzach was the friends we made along the way?
That’s what I’m really proud of. This wouldn’t exist without @jordankrimston mixing and producing @jewkes_impresario mastering @omo.cloud and @dog.magic laying killer vocals parts and @halfwayho.me and @and_droid_ for the studios. Today seems like a good day to share my secrets 🦹♂️ I’m really thankful for the love for Netzach. When I was making it, everything ended up in a folder called Solve et Coagula. It’s a phrase I found in a book called herbal alchemy that is not much about plants. In this folder are 20gs of the demos, alt versions, songs that didn’t the album but are still bangers, pictures from the making of, video art that never went anywhere, an early version mixed for 5.1 surround by Jordan and a ep Reed helped me finish a long time ago🙏. Solve et Coagula lives at solve-et.co for a year and then it is gone. Proud of all my weird work habits on the time stamps I guess 🥲
Why play music when you could play with music? This was a day that was not planned when I flew out to work with @jordankrimston a couple months ago and then came together at whiplash speeds thanks to @and_droid_ who was the true mastermind behind this whole operation, @ok__seb and other passing studio hands which together mangled up 7 crazy synths and a bunch of amps and mics. Yesterday evening my best friend passed in my arms, with the most wild wonderful look on his face. Chester was the most intelligent, playful, and loving dog I’ve ever had. He was born a reservation dog from new mexico, they caught him at eight months running down the highway out of farmington before my mom adopted him. I never planned on spending so much time together but he was such an incredible source of light and a symbol of joy. We made a really beautiful album together and even though this isn’t the way I wanted to do this I’m gonna finish it for you. I love you forever woof woof!♥️
