Out of action for a few weeks.
My long awaited ankle operation was a complete success thankfully. It involved cutting the ankle bone off to get inside and repair the cartilage as well as removing debri. 2 Screws now fix the ankle back in to place.

Sharpening machines ✂️ are specialist bits of kit which aren’t mass produced so they cost a lot. Ranging from £3k-£5k.
They also take a bit of a battering if you’re on the road all day visiting up to 5-6 different salons/barbers.

OFF balance ✂️?
The scissor won’t cut well if it’s at a loose tension. It will also force you to squeeze the blades/handles together which isn’t good for the workings of the scissor or your wrist.

Adding an insert won’t allow the thumb to sit naturally, however it’s all about personal choice and what feels comfortable.
The handle is designed around the shape of the fingers but this isn’t for everyone so the inserts can be valuable .
Some high quality scissors have the more traditional circular holes and still function perfectly.
