I wrote this book for the version of me who was overwhelmed, lost and lacked awareness — and for anyone who feels the same right now. Today, I finally get to share it with you. šŸ’« ā€œThe Monk’s Mindsetā€ šŸ•Šļø Three years of writing and a journal from 22 years ago — brought this book to life. The world feels louder, faster, and more uncertain than ever. People are searching for something steady to hold onto….This book is my offering. It’s my journey, yes — but more importantly, the tools and practices I wish I had when life felt overwhelming. For anyone who wants to feel grounded again in a world that won’t stop moving. Right now, self-awareness isn’t a luxury — it’s survival. If there’s one truth I hope you carry from these pages, it’s this: Awareness is the new superpower. āļø I’m emotional, excited, and can’t wait for you to read it. Pre-orders are live — link in my bio. ā˜šŸ½ Love Sam x

Ever feel like life is getting so loud… you’re scared you might lose yourself in it? Before I left the monastery, I told my mentor I was worried the outside world would change me. That the stress, pressure, noise, and expectations would pull me away from the peace I had found. Years later, I still come back to what he taught me: Calm isn’t about having an easy life. It’s about learning how to stay rooted when life gets heavy. Maybe someone else needs this reminder today. Save this for the moments you feel overwhelmed. Share it with someone who’s carrying more than they’re showing. šŸ¤

@onepeloton instructor @yoiamsamyo revealed his new book ā€œThe Monk’s Mindset,ā€ onstage during the 2026 WWD Beauty CEO Summit in Palm Beach on Tuesday night. The former Buddhist monk spoke on his journey and led the crowd in breath work during his keynote. Swipe for more. Photos: Marissa Alpe, Caroline Xia / WWD Video: @nikarajohns

We’re not lost… we’re just not fully here. Busy. Distracted. Always onto the next thing. And slowly… we stop experiencing our own lives. Try this today: Do one thing slowly. No phone. No rushing. Just be in it. Save this for when life feels full… but not fulfilling. Share it with someone who needs to slow down. Comment PRESENT and I’ll send you a simple practice šŸ¤

I thought the hardest part would be changing my life. Leaving everything behind. Starting again. Stepping into the unknown. But that wasn’t it. The hardest part was letting go of the version of me I was still holding onto. That’s what I learned in my first week as a monk. Change happens whether we’re ready or not. Growth is the part we choose. Save this for the moment you feel yourself holding back. Or send it to someone who’s standing on the edge of change.

It’s a strange feeling… being excited and vulnerable at the same time. One month to go. Grateful for everyone who’s already supporting this in ways you probably don’t even realise šŸ™šŸ¼ And I can’t wait to meet some of you on tour šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø If you’ve pre-ordered or you’re planning to come say hi on my the tour…I’d love to know šŸ‘‡

You’re not behind in life. You’re just holding the wrong piece. Not everything is meant to fit right now. Not every path is meant to make sense immediately. And forcing it… only makes the picture harder to see. Step back. Breathe. Shift your perspective. That’s where clarity begins. Save this for when life feels confusing. Share it with someone who needs the reminder. From my book: The Monk’s Mindset Comment ā€œPUZZLEā€ and I’ll send you the full reflection—there’s a part I couldn’t fit in the video

10 lessons I’m still learning at 47. Not perfectly. Not always gracefully. Just still practising. Some came in stillness. Some came the hard way. And truthfully… I’m still learning all of them. If one of these met you where you are, save it for when you need it again. Or share it with someone who might need the reminder today. — Sam šŸ¤— (More of this lives inside The Monk Mindset)
