フジロックの存在も、通訳の役割もほとんど知らないまま、Red Marqueeの深夜DJを担当してから早20年。
そして今年、ついにグリーンステージ2日目のトリにVulfpeckが登場。
3年前のフジで、アメリカ時代の幼なじみ・Coryと25年ぶりに再会したあの日から、まさか彼のバンドがヘッドライナーを務める日が来るなんて。
苗場滞在時間は歴代最短だったけど、ライブもその前後も、みんなで行った神宮球場までも、過去イチで濃密な時間でした。
In 2005, I worked as an interpreter for a late-night DJ set at the Red Marquee—without really knowing much about Fuji Rock or even what interpreting at a music festival involved.
Hard to believe that was 20 years ago.
This year, Vulfpeck headlined Day 2 on the Green Stage.
Three years ago at Fuji, I reunited with my childhood friend from my time in the U.S., Cory, after 25 years.
I never imagined that his band would one day headline the festival.
Although this year’s stay in Naeba was my shortest ever, the show itself, everything before and after, and even our trip to Jingu Stadium—every moment was the most intense and unforgettable Fuji Rock experience yet.

不惑を迎えました
思い返すと
10歳までの10年はアメリカ/海外の土台
20歳までの10年は日本での土台
30歳までの10年は法律×エンタメ/スポーツ
40歳までの10年はコンサル×エンタメ/スポーツ
と思い返すと図らずも10年くらいの単位で色々やってきていたようで。
そして、それをするにあたってはいつも本当に素敵な家族や仲間に恵まれてきたことを実感しています。
面白いことに、ここ2、3年急速にそれらの経験や仲間が色々な場面で繋がり始めているのを感じます。
ここからの10年、その繋がりをベースとしてやりたいことは山ほどあるし、それを一緒に成し遂げたい仲間もたくさんいます。
10年後どうなっているか！
とにかく楽しいことに突っ走っていくぜ！
I’ve officially hit the big 40
Looking back…
My first 10 years were about building a foundation overseas, mostly in the U.S.
The next 10 were about rooting myself in Japan.
Then came 10 years of diving into law × entertainment/sports.
And the past 10 have been all about consulting × entertainment/sports.
Without planning it that way, life seems to have unfolded in these 10-year chapters.
Through all of it, I’ve been incredibly lucky to be surrounded by amazing family and friends.
What’s exciting is that over the past 2–3 years, all those experiences and relationships have started to connect and come together in unexpected ways.
For the next 10 years, I’ve got a mountain of things I want to do and a whole crew I want to do them with.
Where will I be in 10 years?
No idea…but I’m charging full speed toward what excites me most!
