⁨ פרק חדש בפודקאסט עם יואב וינפלד! לינק להאזנה בסטורי ובביו יואב הוא אמן ואוצר מתל אביב, שעובד בציור, מיצב, ווידיאו. הוא בוגר BFA וMFA בבצלאל, ייסד ואצר את אופנובנק ואת גלריה תער יחד עם עומר שיזף, ובימים אלו גם עומדת תערוכת יחיד גדולה ומרגשת שלו במוזיאון ארץ ישראל בתל אביב, באוצרות ד״ר סמדר שפי, תחת הכותרת ״שיא הרגש״. אני מקליטה עם יואב בסטודיו שלו בסדנאות האמנים בתל אביב, לרגל חזרתו מרזידנסי בניו יורק ב״רזידנסי אנלימיטד״. שוחחנו על השהות בניו יורק עם מטענים אמנותיים ואישיים ישראליים-מנשוא, ועל סטודיו לציור בלי מים, ועל מה עובר ומה הולך לאיבוד בתרגום מעברית לאמריקאית. ‪@yoavweinfeld ‬⁩

This Friday at 10:00 a.m., we’ll hold an artist talk at Wuthering Heights, my solo exhibition at @eretzisraelmuseum (curator: @smadarsheffi ). The talk won’t follow the usual format of an art discussion. Instead, we’ll look at the exhibition together while reading texts that are close to my heart and accompanied me throughout the process: Clarice Lispector and the encounter with the face, Gaston Bachelard and the dreaming of the candle, and Czesław Miłosz and The Solitude of the Lost. Officially, registration is required through the museum’s website and it’s already sold out, but anyone who comes will be warmly welcomed. Admission is free. Featuring RU artist-in-residence Yoav Weinfeld (@yoavweinfeld ) in the RU Voices interview series 🎤  Yoav Weinfeld is a multimedia artist and curator working across painting, installation, and video. His work creates systems where material, surface, and light shift constantly to question the essence of the image, its politics and function, and its relationship to emotional states such as numbness, repressed aggression and loss. Drawing from personal narratives, corporate aesthetics and digital imagery, he explores the fragile relationship of representation and reality. His recent work explores how historical moments transform theoretical questions about representation into lived, urgent realities of trauma. Weinfeld’s process blends fluids, humor, and sexuality with a deadpan tone, balancing playfulness and anxiety. Using airbrush and hand-cut stencils, he creates high-tech surfaces, surrendering control to gravity and viscosity. His work invites viewers to confront the tension of mechanical precision and the raw realities of failure, where memory, perception, and materiality collide. ✨ Yoav’s paintings are on view in the exhibition “Whispers in Plain Sight” on Governors Island (@governorsisland ) for one more weekend (September 27–28).
