About the release:
A Surreal Kind of Normal is a browser-based piece exploring the absurdity and dissonance of our contemporary human condition online. The artist performs not as a character, but as an amalgamation of neoliberal attitudes and the frozen subjects of stock images come to life. A “girl” who is not girl so much as a vessel, a gun, an ethos.
It’s stored on a custom USB flash drive that comes in a case much like the DVD cases I grew up loving. The limited run is just 22 physical editions, so if you’ve ever wanted to own my work you can navigate to the link in my bio or to [ yoona.metalabel.com/a-surreal-kind-of-normal ] 💻

I have access to a laser cutter which is really bad news for anybody praying on my downfall… 𝐼 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒲𝒶𝓇!!! 𝐼𝓉’𝓈 𝒮𝑜𝑜𝑜 𝒞𝓊𝓉𝑒!!!!! may exist more in physical form than digital but we’ll see………. Also I’m going to paint them then post them again… Forgive me………………. I’m #Geeked…….
My 100th post on Instagram❤️ I used to post this type of post like every other week in middle school especially the TBH OR RATE🙈 ones. I would sit there waiting and hoping for my crush to comment tbh so that I could paste the nonchalant tbh I had already written out in my Notes app. Also I remember befriending the popular girls briefly in 6th grade because they started commenting for a rate and of course I’d always reply with BMS😍💕 I’ve been on an Instagram-notification-induced high for over a decade now 🤗 Anyways, hope you comment one 💘 Love u my Instagram World 💞🪽
