Another good week with the basketball guys
Proud of the work our guys continue to put in day after day. A lot of people only see the highlights, but they don’t see the early mornings, recovery sessions, conditioning, film work, and all the small details that go into getting ready for moments like this.
At YMP, we focus on preparing players for the real demands of the game, working on movement, footwork, conditioning, strength, and learning how to play at game speed so athletes are ready when the opportunity comes.
Another solid week. Grateful for the trust. More work to do.

Another group of guys getting a firsthand look at what it takes to train like a predraft athlete. Speed work, position work, weight room, recovery, and learning how to attack every detail with purpose.
The goal isn’t just to work hard for a week, it’s to understand the standard, build better habits, and head back to campus more prepared for fall camp.

Finished the week off with some good competition on the timing gates and gave the guys a look at what speed development looks like at the next level.
Big week of work all around: on the field, in the weight room, and in the details that separate athletes. The group got to experience what the combine environment is really like while being around some NFL rookies and vets attacking their own training at a high level.
A lot of growth, a lot of learning, and a glimpse of what the future can look like.

College FB Prospect Camp is rolling.
High level work on the field. High level work in the weight room. Every rep is another deposit toward fall camp and the season.
On top of improving their game, these guys are also getting a real look into the standard, structure, and day-to-day demands of what it’s like to prepare as a draft athlete at YMP.
One more day of work for this group before we get right back at it again Monday with the next.

Speed isn’t just talent, but something you can train.
At YMP, we treat speed as something you can break down, coach, and improve with the right approach.
Whether it’s NFL vets in the offseason or combine athletes preparing for the 40, we’re not just lining up and running, but coaching the details that actually create speed:
– how you project out of your start
– applying force into the ground
– movement through each step of acceleration
– how you transition into top-end speed
Then we back it with real data.
Using tools like the 1080 Sprint and Ztread, we can measure exactly what’s happening: force, velocity, where you’re losing time. Then we adjust training to fix it. Timing systems and GPS let us track progress so you’re not guessing, you’re improving with purpose.
For Combine guys, that’s what shows up in the 40.
For vets, that’s what carries over to the field allowing them to move better, stay explosive, and keep an edge.
