For thousands of New York moms, the Y offers engaging fun for their kids in a safe environment. Plus, it’s a place for moms to take a break with friends while enjoying group swim—or break a sweat of their own on the treadmill. Today and every day, we celebrate the mother figures who cultivate care, community, and compassion inside and outside our branches. Thank you for being a part of the Y family. #mothersday #happymothersday #ymca #ymcnyc

Summer camp is more than just fun—it’s a transition! As Allison shares, camp helps young children adjust to longer days, new routines, and being part of a group, setting them up for success as they enter 3K and beyond. Y summer camp teams ensure that every camp day is designed to help kids grow, adapt, and enjoy every minute.

Thanks to @airbnb , hundreds of New York kids will get to experience the biggest soccer event of the year live and in person! We’re so grateful for their partnership in providing 1,000 FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets to local youth across New York and New Jersey. And we were honored to host their announcement at the @jamaica_ymca last week!

Watching children grow is what it’s all about 💙 One of Sari’s favorite moments? Seeing a tearful 4-year-old camper who was attached at her hip every day, return as a confident 12-year-old, now helping guide the next group of little ones through their first camp experience. We love a full circle moment! At our Staten Island Y branches, Sari and team are creating spaces where children feel supported and empowered every step of the way. #YMCA #EarlyChildhood #Education #Community

Once-in-a-lifetime experiences and the passion for soccer both start inside the Y! Yesterday at @jamaica_ymca , @airbnb announced it will provide 1,000 FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets to local youth from communities across New York and New Jersey! Among those surprised with tickets were Y kids from MS 217Q Robert A. Van Wyck. We are grateful for this amazing opportunity from Airbnb. As @sharon_ymcanyc , President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater New York says, “Airbnb’s generosity will give hundreds of New Yorkers the opportunity to experience the magic of World Cup soccer firsthand, strengthening their connection to the game and creating memories that will last a lifetime.”
