Well! 45 this year!! And I have been having a good time for a week or so to celebrate!
Started off with a great evening kayak surf at Okisollo Rapids with @wildwaterways_adventures surfing our sea kayaks and @hobsonkayaks
then it was 80’s party time at home with great friends, thanks to the wild and gorgeous @blackfishrita !
Sunday was the local @rlps2s snow to surf adventure race with the Kona crew: we managed to place 3rd in the open men’s division!
then Rita and I headed over to pick up the new shipment of @edgekayak s before heading to Anacortes USA for the new @bodyboatblade Salish Sea Kayak Symposium! Lots of great paddling in currents with awesome coaches and students from all over the world.
Then ended with getting back to canada loading up the rest of our kayak shipment in partnership with @yipyak.ca , before surfing at Jordan River for a couple more days with great folks from the USA @lovetosurf64@willbewading@alibube
Oh and I ended up with a great new work rig for hitting the back rds!! More on her and the Symposium soon!

Exploring Ordu after heavy rain back in November + the beautiful Firtina and Durak rivers far east! Turkey has it all, from steep alpine runs to big drops and sweet bedrock slides. There still so much left to discover, which is why we went back in April 2026 to continue what we started.
