We are both excited and proud to release the first Teaser Trailer for Yip Man Legacy. A feature length documentary that recounts the real life story of Wing Chun Grandmaster Yip Man (aka Ip Man), Bruce Lee, and Wong Shun Leung. The documentary features Yip Man’s direct disciples and friends, such as Sifu Roland Tong, Sifu Kent Lee and many others, Wong Shun Leung’s son, Sifu John Wong, and senior direct Wong Shun Leung’s disciples such as Sifu Wan Kam Leung, Sifu Gary Lam, Sifu David Peterson, and as a special appearance Hong Kong star, Sifu Philip Ng. Archival photos and footage, anime style scenes, and especially Kung Fu fight scenes bring the story to life. Action directors from Vietnam’s top Kung Fu action/stunt team Action C and Jackie Chan Stunt Team member @andy_long_nguyen bring the fight scenes to life like it’s 90’s Hong Kong cinema! Fight choreography and action design have been meticulously crafted by Action C and @lorenzhideyoshi . Legendary Hong Kong former Jackie Chan Stunt Team performer, @pacoyick is up against Andy Long, in an epic showdown of JC Stunt Team generations! Other performers include Action C own stars Tram Minh Hoang and Dai Bao, along with former Wushu World Champion, @samuelmak_ . Voice over by Hong Kong based actor @wu.the.invincible Andrew Ng. In Memory of Brandon Lee. As son of Bruce Lee the bar was set quite high. And Brandon certainly went from one strength to another, with each new movie he was building his own legacy. Not many people had the charisma and charm like he did, and unlike many other action actors, he had a real talent for acting. Brandon tragically passed away 33 years ago on set while shooting the Crow. Always missed, never forgotten. Always remembered, the most iconic fight scene in film history, period! Chuck Norris VS Bruce Lee. From a Q&A with Combat Culture: “At that time I held the world title, and kiddingly I said to Bruce, ‘Well, who wins Bruce?’ and he says, ‘I win, I’m the star of this movie’. I say, ‘Oh, I see, you want to beat the world champion, and he said, ‘No I don’t, I want to kill the world champion’.” From an interview with Black Belt magazine: “The truth is Lee was a formidable opponent with a chiselled physique and technique. I totally enjoyed sparring and just spending time with him”. Continuing, Chuck added, “He was as charismatic and friendly in the ring and at home as he was on film. His confidence and wit were dazzling, and sometimes even debilitating to others… Lee was lightning fast, very agile and incredibly strong for his size”. From an interview with Physical Arts: “He was very fast,” Norris explained, adding, “He learned from everybody, he had a very open mind. Bruce never believed in only one style, or one style is the best, he felt that there were so many ‘best’ of everything. He said that everything had strengths and weaknesses and what he wanted to do was find the strengths and use them”. When asked by Black Belt who would win in a real fight Chuck answered: “You’ll forgive me for answering with another Bruceism: ‘Showing off is the fool’s idea of glory’”. RIP Grandmaster Chuck Norris (1940-2026). He was an idol and inspiration that heavily influenced my martial arts path in the early years. Way of the Dragon, Missing in Action, Sidekicks, Walker Texas Ranger, and just too many more to count. They have become instant classics upon release. Few people have been so accomplished like him and I can only continue to admire his martial arts prowess and body of film work. Now that you are really MIA, I can only imagine you are reunited with Bruce in heaven, while reminiscing the good old days.
