Our little life. In this corner of the world Far away from where we used to call home On the other side We bought a house Close enough to the bustle But a little outside of it A space for our dreams to grow A section set aside for my art A yard for our dog A quiet street I found you And you found me I felt a pull Into your orbit We went to sign papers One day after work Unceremonious, But it was everything to us The way a flower is everything To a hummingbird flying by The sun is there everyday But to the leaves it gives life The little things to me Seeing your set of keys on the hallway table Sitting next to you on a drive How you always help me out With a button in the back I can’t reach Or an earring when I can’t see Seeing your shoes next to mine near the door All the little things The individual flowers That make a garden Of our little life In this corner of the world _____________ I spent an afternoon with these two. Met them at their home. They had gone to their local government office to get married. Just them two, and later on we met up to take portraits of them to remember this time in their life. I got to hear their story, and their dreams. We drove all together around SF, I chauffeured them. I have a whole set of photos of him helping her with her dress, an earring, shoes, a sip, a man so attentive. And her, understanding, supportive, and incredibly incredibly kind. They were so free. At one point they even got mud on their clothes, and just laughed it off, and we just washed it off. Since they never got to do vows, we ended it at the coast with letters they had written to each other, not written in a voice knowing there would be an audience also listening in, but incredibly raw and personal. The bride and groom were the stars of everyone’s camera roll that day — such a stunning couple! 💕 Even celebrity friends traveled from from Taiwan to celebrate with them. The romantic ceremony took place by the ocean at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, where the sound of the waves and the gentle island breeze witnessed their vows 💍🌊. A destination island wedding had always been the groom’s dream, and this was the bride’s very first gift to him 🎁 As night fell, the reception unfolded beneath warm candlelight and sparkling crystal chandeliers — it felt like stepping into a dream. The most touching moment of all was when the bride prepared a special video for her father. After the video ended, her father took her hand and danced with her, leaving the entire room in tears 🥹❤️ The bride’s second gift was a heartfelt solo performance she prepared entirely on her own. It was romantic, emotional, and absolutely magical — pink bubbles everywhere 💕 After dinner, the after party officially began! Everyone joined the newlyweds for games, dancing, and nonstop laughter. Still can't get over the character of these San Francisco neighborhoods. Every street corner and steep hill seems to tell a story of its own. 🌁🚞 Thinking about Xintong @xtaimiaomiao & Qiulin @qiulin8098 standing by the cherry blossoms in front of the church, looking down the Chinatown slopes at the bridge, and those quiet sunset walks by the piers. They even brought their “baby” 🐱 along for the stroll, a little wool felt cat pinned to them, so it felt like they were all exploring the city together. It’s easy to see why San Francisco holds such a special place in their story.
