In that environment, I found myself perceiving others only as they appeared, while at the same time becoming increasingly conscious of how I was seen by them. Their gaze made me aware of my own behaviors, as if I had to constantly monitor and adjust myself. Through editorial photography that combines transparent garments with architectural spaces made of transparent materials from everyday life, the image explores how the gaze of others can distort both perception and identity. By using the inside and outside of these transparent structures in a spatial and layered way in photography, the images reflect the tension between visibility, surveillance, and self-awareness. At the same time, the project conveys a desire to bend freely to exist and move without being constrained by the gaze of others. 마음껏 구부러지자 눈치보지 말고 🍥🌀🪱🍭💫

🪼 Drift 🪼⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖ Creative direction, Photography&VFX by me @yewonic Model @yu__lou Garments @linlinlinzhengyuan Mua @thecolethompson Assist @nuejinn_ In a world turned upside down, I imagine a self that can swim in any direction—where “down” is no longer a limitation but another way of moving freely. In contrast, I picture a world where everything insists on moving upward, chasing a surface that is only a ceiling, leaving me the only one unable to rise. Inspired by jellyfish—creatures that have no heart, no stomach, and few internal organs, drifting at the surface because of their weak ability to swim—I reflect on how they have adapted by finding another way to exist, where drifting becomes a way of living rather than a failure to move. This work rejects forced optimism and instead learns to live in my own way, finding a way to exist without needing to overcome anything.

Inspired by how appearance-based Korean beauty standards are influenced by K-pop groups, fashion image and promotion student at Central Saint Martins @fccsm , @yewonic , took to researching how these sometimes unattainable looks fuelled by infamous photo editing applications.
