Woke up feeling incredibly light today though I don’t know why..
I look at the world around me and see such suffering and injustice but still I saw the sun through the trees and felt blessed. Celebrate every small moment of bliss because the longer you stew in your mistakes the faster life passes you by. Walk backwards. Don’t forget to call your mother. Do whatever it takes to fight the big dread. Even if it’s not, It’s all good…..

The power to move people ignites discussion of representation as it is a dj’s duty to give a voice to the people and therefore WHO is doing the mixing is just as important as what is being played as ultimately we must serve the floor. We must remember that the power is not coming from us but from within and beyond…
God is a DJ and we are just tracks. Sometimes we match, sometimes we clash and sometimes we fade away into silence but the dance must continue well after the party’s over.
Only because the powers that be will not allow us to go dancing in the streets must we confine ourselves to underground basements and industrial warehouses but it cannot end there.
If it does you are abusing the system which has been designed to liberate you while inhibiting those who seek refuge in such spaces.
So next time you go out remember what it is we’re really doing. . .
The machine wants us to forget our worries and feel accomplished in our escapism, but dancing is so much more than that. It is a reclamation of soul which has been stripped from us by the empire. It can’t die when the music stops and the lights come on…

Sometimes I think about my people living their own lives back home and I can’t help but feeling like the world keeps turning without me, but I was given the Sarode for a reason and I’m not going back on the promise I made to my guruji. I’m so blessed to be where I am. My fate is intertwined with the practice and I’m thankful for every day I get to wake up and do it all again. Just wanna put it in stone…

What’s up everyone 👋 just wanted to give u a brief update on what’s going on if you haven’t seen me in a while. Basically I’ve been in India since last September. Originally I wasn’t going to talk about it until I got back but it looks like I’m gonna be out here a while longer so I might as well fill u in. I didn’t tell many ppl I was leaving cause I didn’t wanna make a big deal about it since I really dislike like this brand of travel content farming that goes around on social media, but the longer I’m here the less it feels like travel and the more it seems I’m just here now…
Anyways we’ll see where it goes. I miss you all and I’ll come back to the states eventually but India & Bangladesh have been showing me mad love so I gotta see this one through.
