Courtney our PBS SDM wanted to share a wonderful moment from our office activity in Canning Vale today! Everyone came together to create their own desk or office sign based on the brief: “Using the materials provided, create a sign for your space within the office that represents you as a person—this could include your likes, interests, or personality attributes.” It was a fantastic reminder of how powerful creative activities can be in fostering engagement, connection, and self-expression which is something that strongly reflects the work we do with our clients. The room was full of energy, creativity, and plenty of smiles 😃 It was great to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the process. We have left some of the resources on the table for anyone who missed out or pops in from another office and would like to get involved!! #OfficeCulture #TeamConnection #CreativeWorkplace #StaffEngagement #WorkplaceWellbeing #TeamActivity #CreativeExpression #OfficeLife #TeamBuilding #ConnectionAtWork #EmployeeExperience #CanningVale #LocalWorkplace #CommunityAtWork #CreativityAtWork #InclusiveWorkplace #PositiveWorkplace #LearningTogether #GrowingTogether #WorkplaceJoy

🎉 And the winners are...! 🎉 At the Perth Disability Connection Expo (8–9 August 2025), we had the pleasure of running a raffle for those who chatted with us during the event. The lucky winners walked away with gift hampers and annual zoo passes, and it was a joy to see their excitement when they came to collect their prizes! A special thanks to the winners for sharing their enthusiasm with the Yesability team. It truly was a heartwarming moment that made all the difference. 🦁🎁 We are so grateful to have had the chance to connect with so many wonderful people at the Expo, and we can’t wait for the next opportunity to do it all over again!

On 11 September, our Osborne Park office hosted a de-escalation training session with the brilliant Olov from Humdrum. Some of our PBS, OT and psychologists came together for an interactive workshop filled with practical strategies, shared experiences, and plenty of good energy. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our skills and learn new ways to support the people we work with. A big thank you to Olov for leading such a valuable and empowering session, and to our team for showing up with curiosity and enthusiasm!

On 20–21 August, our Osborne Park office hosted a Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training, facilitated by Emma and Sharon from the Mental Health Commission. Across two days, our PBS and OT staff took part in an important and compassionate learning experience, building skills to recognise warning signs, respond with confidence, and support those at risk. A heartfelt thank you to Emma and Sharon for leading such an impactful session, and to our team for their commitment to creating safer, more supportive communities.

Third place 'on the podium' in the Ultra Marathon 25km race.🥉🌊 We’re proud to congratulate Andy Donaldson on an incredible 3rd place finish at the Port to Pub Swim on Saturday. Andy took on the demanding open water swim from Leighton Beach to Rottnest Island (Wadjemup), delivering a strong performance in challenging conditions while swimming for a cause close to his heart. By raising funds for Classroom of Hope, Andy has helped support access to education and opportunity, turning a personal athletic challenge into meaningful community impact. At YesAbility, we value individuals who combine determination with purpose. Andy’s achievement — both in the water and through his fundraising efforts — is a great example of leadership through action. A special acknowledgment goes to Andy’s support crew, whose teamwork played a vital role in this achievement. From preparation to race day, their coordination, encouragement, and behind the scenes effort helped create the conditions for Andy’s success. Congratulations, Andy, on an outstanding result and a tremendous effort! 🏊‍♂️🚀 #Teamwork #SupportCrew #BehindEverySwimmer #StrongerTogether#ClassroomOfHope #SwimForGood #CharitySwim #SwimmingForChange #GivingBack#PortToPub #OpenWaterSwimming #ThirdPlace #PodiumFinish #SwimStrong

We are proud to support Andy Donaldson as he takes on the Port to Pub Swim this weekend in Western Australia. Andy will be tackling the iconic open water swim from Leighton Beach to Rottnest Island (Wadjemup), pushing himself physically and mentally for a cause that truly matters. He’s swimming to raise funds for Classroom of Hope, a charity dedicated to constructing sustainable schools using upcycled materials while removing 1-2 tons of plastic waste from the environment. Andy’s commitment reflects the belief that every child deserves access to learning and opportunity, no matter their circumstances. At YesAbility, we value people who step up and turn effort into impact. Andy’s determination to take on this challenge for the benefit of others is a great example of leadership in action. If you would like to support Andy, you can donate via his Classroom of Hope fundraising page: /porttopub Wishing Andy the very best for a strong, safe swim this weekend — go well! 🏊‍♂️🚀 #swimming #marathonswimmer #classroomofhope #porttopub #andydonaldson #swimmer #ocean #environmentallyfriendly #schools #recycling #swimforcharity
