Psyched to give you our very special Tiny Tape Session #3 featuring a stripped down version of ‚Not just yet‘, the opener song on the B-Side of our Album, a track that delves into memory loss and how the brain mends trauma with distorted, yet comforting memories… 🎥 Full video on YouTube (link in bio) In this episode we didn’t actually use the tape machine to record our session but rather used it to give the drum track a good seasoning: Sietse created the drum track using his Roland TR-707 drumcomputer and recording it with the Nagra-IV-L tape recorder, then playing it on half-speed. Hey peeps! Today we'll share the first piece of our 'Tiny Tape Sessions' We recorded this live version of our latest single 'What If I' a few weeks ago in Amsterdam. We used an old italian drum machine (Elka Drummer One 1969) and a Nagra IV-L (1968) reel to reel tape recorder. Because a lot of people have been asking: Lamp is a Flos Papillona from the 70’s. ;) 2 weeks ago we released the stop-motion video for our song 'What If I'. FR 05.12.2025 | 20 Uhr scheinzeitmenschen und YENGA (D/NL) Light in Concert Objekt-Musiktheater von und mit Birk-André Hildebrandt & Valeska Klug (Duo scheinzeitmenschen) – Lichtobjekte/Optokoppler/elektronische Klangmodulation Stella Polaris, Niko Dolle & Sietse Iedema (Band YENGA) – Lichtobjekte/Optokoppler/elektronische Klangmodulation Das Bochumer Duo scheinzeitmenschen und die deutsch – niederländische Band YENGA bewegen sich mit ihrer Produktion „Light in Concert“ an der Schnittstelle von Objekttheater, Musik und Lichtkunst. Sie widmen sich dabei einer Eigenschaft des Materials Licht, die wir für gewöhnlich nicht wahrnehmen: seinem Klang. In einer assoziativen Szenenfolge bespielen die fünf Künstler*innen Lichtobjekte und machen die Frequenzen des Lichts hörbar. Damit erweitern sie die sinnliche Wahrnehmung und nehmen das Publikum mit in eine Welt der Lichtobjekte, die nicht nur visuell, sondern auch auditiv erfahrbar ist. Von meditativ bis industriell, von wabernd bis kratzend und knackend entspinnen sich unerwartete Klänge von alltäglichen Objekten wie Lichterketten, Taschenlampen oder Neonröhren. Über ihre charakteristischen Sounds und Rhythmen verwandeln sich die Lichtobjekte in die strahlenden Protagonist*innen einer Objekt-Musik-Performance, die mit individuellen Stimmen mal für sich sprechen, mal in Kontakt miteinander treten, mal mehrstimmig auftreten.
