With tributes to legends like Pecker Dunne, The Doran brothers and Maggie Barry, and reflections from artists like Damien Dempsey and Liam Ó Maonlaí, this documentary uncovers a legacy long overlooked but deeply embedded in Irish cultural identity.
Ag Taisteal Siar has had a successful festival run, reaching international audiences through screenings at Docs Ireland, Galway Film Fleadh, Silk Road International Film Festival, Fís Nua Festival in New York, and the Capital Irish Film Festival in Washington, D.C.
Ag Taisteal Siar was commissioned as part of ilDÁNA programme funded by TG4 and The Arts Council of Ireland, with additional funding from Coimisiún na Meán, and Northern Ireland Screen (ILBF).
