✨Let’s make fermented foods
* sauerkraut
* Garlic honey ferment
* Pickled onions
* Lemon, ginger, honey ferment
Pickled onions - Recipe for 2 jars
1. 1 cup of white vinegar
2. 1 cup of rice vinegar ( or apple cider vinegar)
3. 2 table spoons of sugar
4. 1 table spoon of salt
Bring it to a simmer or light boil
* make sure the liquid covers the onions full
* Allow to cool fully - then put in the fridge
* It lasts up to 3 weeks
SAUERKRAUT RECIPE - 2 heads of medium size cabbage
1. 1 tablespoons of salt
2. Massage for 10-15 minutes
3. Leave it for 30 mins
4. Massage for another 10- 15 mins
* Keep a big piece of cabbage to cover the ferment
* Make sure the liquid fully covers the veggies
* Keep in a cool dark place for 14 days then it’s ready to eat
* Open the jar briefly every day to release gas. ( so that the glass doesn’t break )
* Once it starts to bubble you know it’s fermenting
* Keep the jar clean !!
