mapped a wireless setup with a glove 🧤, facepiece wearables ⛓️, and the “violectric” 🎻
impulses, lines, touch, language, connections, face, violins, violence:
the instruments we play, they’re extension of us right? are they all part of “us” then? we hit em blow em scratch em push em and all.. can we— love without a touch? without physical bodies? (i guess there’s a theremin)
sending you electromagnetic love then, hehe
thankful for this gift from the @bostonglobe ! — full article link on my website jimmylim.music/about
as always, credits goes to the creators. there are many people to thank and many more stories to tell, our part is to remember the lessons
first photo is from our session at the power station with @tc.oh.yer

sometimes i miss my self before i met you - and this is not to say that i prefer that, but this is to embrace both the me before you and the me after you
wrote this ab 6 years ago, revisited it this morning to see what has changed
to experience both is to be alive no? the nostalgias and the dreams, they’re always present
more things coming your way-
earlier this month i was part of a variety show at @rockwellthtr . when @loov_the@lifedrawingboston asked me to do a short live improv set (10mins), i thought of dedicating the set for Our Carrying Body, and im so glad they supported it!
on slide 3, the track you’re hearing is timor resistance radio. it’s a remnant of war, as fractured sounds, coded messages, and interference. similar to injuries, we’ll find ways to live with it.

Might be the last gym thing im posting for awhile since Our Carrying Body is closing in 3 days!
$506.50 was made from this independent effort. Each album was supposed to be $5, but one way or another YOU showed up and gave your support: from knee pics, discounted album purchases ($2.50), to $20 and $50 bills that were just handed to me electronically and in cash.
Once again, thank you.
This was my second ever personal fundraiser. My first one was when I gathered $150 selling sumatran fishcakes for a month to compensate fellow musicians playing at my gig lol.
I hope that Dr Matzkin’s comment (slide 8) can give you more info, accompanied by the last track of the live improv ep: Regeneration.
w love and strength 💪🏼
just ya boi with cloud collection ☁️
we (i) often take things for granted, and this is just a small token of all the grand machineries around us.
another grand thing is that the independent fundraise for Operation Walk USA got more than halfway through the 2nd goal 🎉
9 days left to support - link in bio 💥
10 days update: we passed our first goal !! 🙌🏼 for an independent fundraising effort benefitting operation walk usa - providing knee and hip care for uninsured adult patients
Being carried is quite vulnerable right? you have to trust the other person with all of you
Would you trust me if I say our second goal is even higher?
Consider supporting the cause if you can. Every penny counts—more info in bio
📸: carried by my brothers, blood and non. shout out @bostonsubmissionfighting !!
3 - Our Carrying Body
a short interview with my mom
Top right photo is of my mom when we visited the statue of liberty. She has been dealing with arthritis for the past 8 years, and hasn’t been able to be as mobile as this photo.
But you can help.
You might think “well it’s not me”, but this could be your grandma, your aunt, uncle, parents, your loved ones, or even you in the future.
Our Carrying Body is a 30-day release supporting Operation Walk USA, which provides knee and hip care for uninsured patients.

Our Carrying Body is a four-track live
improvisational ambient work by exploring how the body holds memory over time.
Recorded & composed live at Garage B for Catch Release (movement art show) by Olivia Moon, the work pairs textural sounds with thumping rhythm to reflect on real-time weight and endurance of the 4 pole dancers in the space, ultimately exploring the boundaries of unseen structures that support us.
SUPPORT
Our Carrying Body is supported in part by a grant from the MassCulturalCouncil, a state agency
