We’re thrilled to continue sponsoring @buffalostaterunway — the annual Buffalo State University fashion show highlighting student designers in the Fashion and Textile Technology Department. This year’s theme, Intersectional Identity, challenges participants and viewers to reflect on the complexities of their own identities, drawing attention to the ways in which our unique differences also unite us as one. Inspired by Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw’s concept of intersectionality, “Intersectional Identity” encourages designers to explore the overlapping layers of identity shaped by race, gender, religion, sexuality, ability, class, and culture. Earlier this year, we collaborated with Beebe’s at the Gallery to enhance their visual identity and digital presence. Impressed by the venue’s deep passion for local art, dedication to preserving history, and commitment to bringing unforgettable celebrations to life, we expanded their vision through our creative process and strategic approach. We produced a photoshoot to authentically capture the essence of the brand and developed a website to showcase the unique features that make Beebe’s a uniquely art-forward events space. Our love for art is no secret, so when we had the chance to collaborate with @burchfieldpenney on a logo for their new membership offering, the Burchfield Visionaries, we were brimming with ideas on how to artfully adapt their existing brand into a fresh visual identity. Working closely with the Visionaries steering committee, we identified the target demographic and key messaging that would resonate with emerging professionals, art enthusiasts and cultural tourists. Together, we recognized the need for a unique membership experience that emphasizes creativity and connection through art. We’re thrilled to have partnered with the Burchfield Penney Art Center, providing them with a distinctive brand identity, content and a comprehensive marketing toolkit. Your perception is your truth. Welcome to True Delusion. 👇 From creative conversations and mood boarding to campaign conception and art direction, we collaborated with the @bsurunway team and @erinhabes to develop a brand and strategy for this year’s RUNWAY event. We collectively sought inspiration from the 2024 total solar eclipse, exploring the duality between darkness and light as it relates to mental health. This concept led us to learn more about the fashion design process and the role that creativity plays in our journey to well-being. Our discovery is that creativity often blurs the line between what is real and what is imagined. As a seasoned communications professional, Shannon Holfoth worked with Spicy to create a brand that reintroduced her as a solo entrepreneur and owner of Shannon Communications.
