In honor of Historic Preservation Month, join us for an educational evening to celebrate the restoration of Wealthy Theatre, and raise awareness about the ongoing renovations at Hermitage at Diamond. We'll be screening an unearthed docushort from the days when Wealthy St. had not yet become a historic district and the fight to save this landmark theatre was still underway. Hear the story directly from some of the amazing women who persevered until the job was done. We started with a ceremony to invoke the elements. Our friend Diane did crystal readings to inform our scenework, then tarot readers in the group had our actors pull cards to inform their performance. We yelled in gibberish to inspire each other to speak truth to power. And then we rehearsed a way out of our current predicaments as a species with a longform about the revolution. One to remember.

Rotations and molecules - The Pentagram involves 5 improvisors and quickly accelerates participation in all aspects of the performance. Coaching encouragement like, "We are with you," "You can," "Say the line," etc. help improve the quality of warm-up scenes.
Suggestion: Utopia Garden - The system has fallen and we have built a garden in which we live with all our friends and neighbors. For 15 minutes we built a story, in which resources were distributed, plans were made to send a group south to survey 28th street, a fire was made and soup was prepared. Focus is on building a character, establishing imaginary objects in the scene, and having the actual experience of living in the alternate reality.
