SANCTUARY CAMPUS NOW! We demand NC State protect its students and staff from ICE!
Sign the petition online or find us around campus collecting signatures! For the past three weeks, we've been hitting the bricks collecting signatures, and we recently surpassed 600 signatures! Be part of the change!
We are demanding:
1) NCSU issue a statement reaffirming the school's commitment to FERPA and student privacy.
2) NCSU provide "Know Your Rights" training to all staff and contracted workers. In addition, "Know Your Rights" red cards at these sessions.
3) NCSU forgo any penalties associated with worker and student absences on days that federal immigration authorities are present on campus and surrounding areas.
Join us on Thursday, April 16th at 6:00pm in Withers Hall room 160 for an ICE Watch Training! Learn how to identify ICE, counter ICE, and protect yourself and your community! All are welcome and encouraged to come!
Over 50 of you turned out for an incredible public lecture yesterday! So many know that Jae’s firing from NC State’s LGBTQ+ Pride Center wasn’t right. Our Workers Rights Teach-In confirmed that, and provided critically important historical and contemporary lessons for everyone that wants to stand up to unfair practices across the state and bring power back into the hands of workers. Huge shoutout to @braxtonwinston and Professor David Zonderman for dropping knowledge; the crowd was hanging on every word for well over an hour! 📸: @ydsancsu
Tuesday, April 7!! Labor history professor David Zonderman will join North Carolina AFL-CIO President Braxton Winston to lead the teach-in about workers rights. You don’t want to miss this one!
Join us tomorrow anytime between 11:30-3:00pm in Stafford Commons to make signs for our evening event in support of rehiring Assistant Director of the PRIDE Center, Jae Edwards. We have the supplies, just bring your energy!
We'll be putting our signs to use at 6pm the same day, March 11th to express our support for the reinstatement of Jae Edwards.

Come out to the sit-in at the Board of Trustees meeting to stand with Jae and to show support for the academic freedoms of
NC State community.
If we allow Jae's termination to fly under the radar, we are setting a precedent for faculty (and students) to be vulnerable to fascistic targeting.
The same goes for the administration's infringements on academic freedom.
Let's show admin and the board that we will not make this easy on them.
Stay tuned - more actions to come.
