Intro to Fan Dancing! Learn basic grips, tricks, and spins in these beginner fan veil classes. We will also practice movement and isolations with fan veils, learning how to use these props as an extension of ourselves. No dance experience necessary. Fan veils will be provided for this class.

Effortless is a collection of short contemporary dance works created by professional and emerging choreographers based in Yellowknife. This one-time performance calls into question the idea that dance is simply “beautiful” or easy; revealing the labour, risk, and creative process beneath what appears seamless on stage.
Featuring choreography by Fia Grogono, Tomiko Robson, Jordyn Riou, and Benjamin Mujuni, Effortless offers audiences an investigation into how movement stories are built, shaped, and refined.
