7년 전,
미국 베버리힐즈의 한 스튜디오에서 커피를 내리던 때가 있었다.
Tony Maserati (@tonymaseratiofficial )와 본격적으로 작업을 시작한 뒤에도,
늦은 밤이면 늘 The Eleven(@theximusic )에 모였다.
음악, 사람, 그리고 아직 오지 않은 미래를 이야기하던 자리.
서로의 오늘을 상상하며 응원했던 그 시간.
지금도 같은 꿈을 같이 실행하고 있다는 사실이, 새삼 감사하다.
한국이 세계 음악의 허브가 되는 건, 더 이상 질문이 아니다.
문제는 방식이다.
어느 나라의 누구와 작업하더라도
”한국 시장“이라는 틀에 갇히지 않고,
그저 자연스럽게 one of them으로 존재하는 것.
내가 7년 전 미국에서 그랬던 것처럼,
앞으로 우리 모두가 그렇게 될 수 있도록.
지난 10여 년간 현장에서 쌓은 것들을,
이제 한국에서 하나씩 시스템으로 옮긴다.
그 첫 장이 5월에 열린다.
