2016... 🗽 Looking back, I never thought I’d leave NYC or the fashion industry. This was the year I started questioning everything…. my purpose and my place in the world.
At the time, I was assisting the CEO and creative director at @aliceandolivia I see a girl who was fearless, hardworking, and finally owning her own style.
I think 24 year old me would be so proud of how much I’ve grown up. But she’d also tell current AL to get her ass back to NYC! She’d tell me to do the hard things and lean into fashion again. I’m ready now. I have healthier outlets like my painting, and I finally have my purpose.
Life is so short. Fashion has always been my favorite way to express myself 🛍️ 🌎🎨✨
P.S. 2016 was also the year before I met @iamcpramirez 💙

Colorful Fish in a Small Pond
Acrylic on Canvas, 30 x 40 in (76 x 102 cm)
Colorful Fish in a Small Pond traces the tension between belonging and autonomy - radiance held inside a boundary, yet never contained by it. The work resists explanation; it meets the viewer on its own terms.
Color surges across the surface in every direction, creating a field of movement that feels both spontaneous and choreographed. Textured strokes weave into one another, forming currents that expand, collide, and quietly reorganize.
