Over a decade ago, I had the chance to help document the New York City Marathon—and somehow, this marked my 12th year covering the race. It remains one of my favorite events. The city transforms into a celebration of encouragement, unity, and health.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats on this assignment, and this time I was joined by the intrepid filmmakers @austinplocher and @yao_6 . Together we covered 11 miles along the course, talking with fans, volunteers, and organizers to explore what makes this day so magical.
