Folks dont always see how the fight for immigrant rights in the U.S. connects to what’s happening in Palestine. Here’s the crazy part, IDF have been training American police, including ICE and LAPD, through programs like Deadly Exchange. The ADL helps run this which is a racist ass organization
These trainings share the worst fucking police tactics killings without trials, racial profiling, mass spying, and crushing protests. Israel tests these methods on Palestinians first, then teaches them to police worldwide. The same violence hurting Palestinians gets used against immigrants here and causes suffering in Latin America too. It’s all part of the same system. We are not free till all us are free.

When life sucks or the world feels like shit, choosing joy is like giving the middle finger to despair and hatred. It keeps us grounded, reminds us what we’re fighting for, and helps us push back. Plus, celebrating the people we love? That’s how we stay grounded and keep going.

Massive, massive shoutout for being at every damn court date. Seriously. Rain or shine, boring or stressful as hell, you’re there without fail. That’s not just “supportive,” that’s ride or die on a whole other level. You’ve had my back harder than anyone, and I don’t say that lightly. Know I got yours just as solid.
And then there’s the chaos and random shit we get into. The fact that you will *unquestioningly join my random ass, last minute, zero plan trips/ideas/errands is honestly one of your finest qualities. “Wanna drive an hour for questionable tacos at 10 PM?” “Down.” “Need to run to Target for one thing (ends in cart full of random shit)?” “Bet.” You’re constantly down for the cause, even when the cause is deeply unserious. It’s the best. Never change.
Plus, You listen, you remember the stuff that matters, you check in, it’s not performative, it’s real and genuine.
So yeah, happy birthday, foo. Hope your day involves zero courtrooms, maximum snacks, maybe a solid nap, and absolutely zero adulting pressure. You deserve all the good vibes (and maybe a drink that you don’t have to pay).
