For 40 years, the Central Park Challenge has been about showing up — for each other, for our community, and for the mission that brings us together 💙
Elizabeth Diviney has been part of YAI since the 80s, and her love for CPC says it all: it’s the people, the energy, the feeling of being part of something bigger.

One of NYC’s most fun family-friendly events is back!
YAI’s Central Park Challenge returns May 30 from 8AM–12PM at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park to celebrate and support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a morning of community, inclusion, and fun.
The event includes a 3K walk, junior races for kids, live performances, games, adaptive activities, sensory-friendly experiences, and technology showcases designed to promote independence and accessibility.
There are so many ways to get involved:
-Walk the 3K
-Volunteer
-Donate or fundraise
-Or simply come out and support the community
Even if you can’t attend in person, your donation makes a real impact:
-$40 can provide adaptive daily living tools
-$400 can fund smart technology for someone who is blind
-$4,000 can help make a home fully accessible
However you give, you’re helping create opportunities for people with disabilities to live, work, learn, and belong in their communities.

YAI’s Central Park Challenge (CPC) puts the FUN in fundraiser! And this year, it’s their 40th anniversary!!
CPC is New York’s biggest celebration of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and it’s taking place on May 30th, from 8am to 12pm in Central Park! The event is FREE and you definitely don’t want to miss it!
YAI is an organization that makes sure people with disabilities don’t just exist, they THRIVE! And the Central Park Challenge is basically a giant party celebrating them! We’re talking a 3K walk, games, live performances, and the BEST vibes all around!
My favorite part? All the money raised helps fund YAI’s services and so they can keep changing the lives of people with disabilities for the better!
Head to CentralParkChallenge.org or go to the link in their bio to learn more about the big day. And if you can’t make it, you can still show your support by donating to their cause!!
I really hope you join YAI there. It’s going to be an EPIC time, I promise!! ❤️

Empowering families starts with the right support 👪
Raymond, Alexis, and Christina from YAI's Administration for Children's Services (ACS) Parent Program are proud to give back. This weekend, they're sharing essential parenting supplies with parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them thrive. Because every parent deserves the tools, confidence, and community to succeed.
Happy Mother's Day 💗
