Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Opolskiego Województwo OpolskieHey everyone! I’d like to invite you to a meeting at the Central Museum of Prisoners of War in Łambinowice, where I’ll be talking about photography, the Łambinowice forests, and the creative work I was able to carry out thanks to the Marshal's Scholarship of the Opole Voivodeship "Marszałkowskie Talenty". I’ll also share a few words about our (mine and Diogo / @mots.pt ) project BORY, inspired by the Niemodlin Forests, which has been exhibited in Opole, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Japan. “Como um” brings together photographs from two places I call home: the Opolskie region in Poland and Portugal. Since 2016, I’ve been living between these two landscapes, spending part of the year in each. The photos were taken between 2020 and 2025, in the course of everyday life across both places.
Over time, I began to notice quiet connections, shapes, textures, moods that echo between them. The images reflect how these places shape my sense of belonging. This work is not about contrast, but about how different environments can coexist within one experience, how a sense of self is formed through spaces, repetition, and everyday small things.

BORY – An Exhibition Inspired by the Forests of Łambinowice
The BORY exhibition seeks to capture the profound experience of wandering through the forests of Łambinowice. Drawing inspiration from the diversity of nature, its constant transformations, the cycles of decay, and traces of human intervention, we aim to create a space that reflects our perception of this woodland landscape—rich with peculiarities and mysteries.
While the project focuses on exploring the extraordinary beauty and enigmatic atmosphere of nature, it inevitably raises a thought-provoking question: can one walk through a forest once marked by prisoners-of-war camps without confronting its historical weight?

We are honored to be laureates of the Aneks 2024/2025 competition. With gratitude to the entire GSW Team at Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej Opole for making this vision a reality. It was a pleasure working with you!
