Chess Set 002
Porcelain Ceramic, roughly 12" x 12", 2026
A few months ago I decided to make a chess set for my dad (not pictured here). That made me want to make more and this is the result. I’ve been working on this rather slowly as I focus on a million other things. This is the second set I’ve worked on, the first being a concrete and ceramic one @sophie.ceramics and I made together. Both are adapted from a Bauhaus design from 1923. I love chess and I have fun making these!

✨ Seven Signs ✨
What was months in the making came together for a special, one-night-only show. Having all our work up together in a salon-style exhibition made me realize how lucky I am to get to share space with these photographers. Seeing all our work play off one another and take on a whole new context was affirming to each of our individual practices.
Photography is often a solitary pursuit, and this whole process reassured me that the times we work alone can lead to big communal outpourings. We raised $400 for the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund by selling zines handmade by @1889__lover and serving drinks poured by me. @hankus_archer sequenced and hung the wall, and @yack_fox flew across the country to reunite for the show. ❤️ i love my friends!
Huge shoutout to my partner at @realmbooks.co , @claytonhauck , for letting us put holes in his massive white wall and run wild in the space for 24 hours. A small idea manifested into a night shared by many, and that simple fact makes me grateful to be in this world.
Seven Signs, a one night only group show this Friday in Chicago 5pm - Late. Featuring work from Nika McKagen, Jack Garland, Henry Archer, and myself.
@seeyousoon.chicago - 1757 N Kimball Ave Unit 203C, Chicago, IL 60647
We will be selling drinks and risograph zines with all profits going to the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund.
@realmbooks.co will also be having a photobook pop up.
Hope to see you there!!!
I ventured out to the Hobrechtsfelde nature preserve in Brandenburg in search of (almost) wild konik horses .. and found them! For @berliner_zeitung@berliner_zeitung_artdept in today’s paper.
Thank you @youvalle for thinking of me :)
