Teacher Amma 🍃
A project I hold dear to my heart!
Sugatha Kumari teacher, one of the most powerful environmental activists of Kerala. This is the story of a fighter, a strong human, a poet, and a passionate nature lover.
Teacher’s biography beautifully written by the talented @sanidasifali
Thankyou @roomtoreadindia for making me a part of this project. This book is truly a tribute to her legacy. Knowing that it will reach young readers in schools makes it even more special
From reading her poems in class to now bringing her story to life through art, this journey feels deeply personal. As someone who shares her love for the environment, this is my humble way of honoring a legendary soul🤍

In a lazy afternoon, I remember my grandma telling her life story. The crust of the story was, she dissatisfied for not pursuing a career, even though she was a graduate. Actually, leaving her desperate just because she had to take care of her family.
I heard my mother also regretting. Though Grandma's life actually gave her the fuel to pursue a job, that was not a career or life she dreamt of . She also had her share of regrets that she couldn't take care of her family and her family life due to career pressure.
Their life patterns are the basics for the learnings to move on. For generations, We all are searching for the ever elusive satisfaction in life. It isn't even the matter of career or family life or anything else. Can't say a particular thing would bring us lasting satisfaction in life. But the way we view life is that which bring satisfaction. It is a pattern of love and few happy moments!!
This was one illustration I did for last inktober. Thought of sharing the coloured version:')

Gender Responsive Education📚
An approach that ensures equal learning opportunities for all genders by addressing gender bias and discrimination in schools. It creates a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels respected and encouraged to participate. The goal is to promote fairness, confidence, and equal development for all learners. 📚
Created this cover for a booklet guide for Educators, by Room to Read, India.
Thankyou @rekha_singh97 for guiding this project!

മഴമേഘങ്ങൾ| Rain clouds 💙

Back with the nostalgic series!!
Here are some tasty ‘ഉപ്പിലിട്ടത്’ ✨
I was really worried about AI creating all kinds of illustrations in just a few seconds, and that uncertainty made me pause for a while from creating my own illustrations. But recently realised I don’t want to leave my art to that fate. So I’m back, creating my own illustrations, at my own pace and in my own imperfect ways again. AI can do whatever it wants, let me do what I love 💛

Welcoming the new year with a fresh illustration for Mathrubhumi Weekly ✨
Priya A S and her unique style of writing have fascinated me since childhood. Her narration always felt deeply relatable, and the visuals in her stories were so vibrant and colorful!
This year, I had the joy of illustrating her story “Poombattayude Rashtreeyam”in the latest edition of Mathrubhumi Weekly and received a call from this favourite author.
A true full circle moment it was!
Sharing a few illustrations here🦋☺️
PC: Amma and Achan, creatively clicking it from our garden! :’D
