Leer a estx autore es también una invitación a cambiar la mirada. Es acercarnos a relatos que no requieren de manual diagnóstico para existir. Hay voz y sentido en lx locx. Darse el tiempo de leer a un autor loco es reconocer que la experiencia vivida no es solo un vago complemento para la investigación académica, sino un conocimiento fundamental que debe empezar a ser parte.

The history of biomedical interventions has often been written by taking agency away from neurodivergent and mad people. What we seek when we speak of mad studies is to demonstrate that this history cannot be written without us.
Reading this author is also an invitation to shift perspective. It is about approaching narratives that do not require a diagnostic manual to exist. There is voice and meaning in madness. Taking the time to read a mad author is recognizing that lived experience is not just a vague complement to academic research, but a fundamental form of knowledge that must begin to be included.

Ming’s old permaculture teacher is losing his mind to dementia, so we decided to write a thank you letter for all Ming learned and did with the teacher over the last 20+ years. maybe tomorrow is goodbye. "i wish we had a card with poison oak; that's his favorite plant," Ming said. so i volunteered to make the card. i feel a special kind of happy inside when a shard of the truth comes through.
