This birthday feels different. Not because of the number, but because of the journey it took to get here. There were years where I felt out of place, years of doubt, trying to figure out where I belonged and what my voice even sounded like. Life has a way of testing you before it lets you understand yourself. The struggles, the setbacks, the moments of feeling unseen all shaped the person I am today
Photography became more than just a camera in my hands. It became an outlet, a way to translate emotions I didn’t always know how to say out loud. Through the lens I found acceptance, not just from others, but from myself. As someone who spent much of this journey in the cosplay scene, I met so many people who encouraged me to keep going. Being naturally introverted, their persistence, support, and even the people who came and went along the way all helped forge the man I am today
These photos mean a lot to me for that reason. They were created by someone I deeply respect, a legendary cinematographer and photographer who generously gave me this shoot as a birthday gift while working on a project I can’t speak about. This was a concept I had always wanted to do but never made the time for, and somehow it came together at the perfect moment. A reminder that sometimes the things meant for you arrive when you’re finally ready to receive them.
This is me now at 38. Still learning, still growing, still chasing light. I don’t know what the future holds, and that’s what makes it exciting. Grateful for the hardships, grateful for the people who believed in me, and ready to keep moving forward into the unknown.

BTS and a formal introduction of Xina
I present to you the model from the Love.Loss.Acceptance series, Xina.
Xina is based in Paris and does not currently have social media, but I still wanted to give her a proper shoutout and introduction. She was an absolute rockstar throughout the entire shoot and played a huge part in shaping how this project came together.
What made this series special is that she was the one who wanted to collaborate, and she helped bring the concept to life by working with the idea I had and helping shape how it would be done. Her trust, creativity, and confidence made this project feel real in a way I honestly did not expect.
Some of these photos were shared with her permission, since they were also published in her book. This post includes a few behind-the-scenes moments, some final images from the book, and two photos I personally took of her. The solo shot at the old railroad tracks and the shower photo were taken by me using their camera, since I did not have my own gear with me at the time. They were kind enough to give me full usage and the RAW files.
The rest are either candid moments or images from the book.
