The XP Game Summit is quickly approaching, and we're excited that ACTRA Toronto Member Myles Dobson is a featured speaker in one of the sessions!
Voice Acting in video games is more than performance, it’s a production process that hinges on direction, context, and iteration. "Inside the Booth: Bringing Professional Performances to Your Next Project" is a live interactive session that will feature a recording-style demonstration of a typical voice acting session, showing how a short scripted scene can evolve across multiple takes under direction.
Attendees will observe how performance adjustments are made, learn how to communicate creative intent effectively, and how best practices can get the most out of a session.
Featuring perspectives from performance, voice direction, and game development, this session demonstrates live performance changes, and highlights practical production realities such as pickups, continuity, and scheduling.
The session also features Scott Christian, Studio Director at Hilltop Studios alongside Myles. The session takes place on May 21st from 3pm - 3:45pm.
