Part 1 ✨ of making a dress inspired by one of Aelin’s within the books! All that’s left is some details, some hems and laces for the back!
I’ve asked before whether anyone would be interested in seeing my process of making things as it’s something I already enjoy to do on my stories and it helps me stay motivated to actually work on a task 😅 so here is me actually following through.
I haven’t made a dress like this before so it was a lot of trial and error and A LOT of handsewing! I’m almost entirely self taught so me and yt videos were like 🤝 throughout this whole process of learning how to drape and hem thin fabrics. I self patterned the whole thing based off some references, descriptions and measured proportions, also figured out how to drape a corset without any seams that I’m verrrrry proud of.
