How to pick tile trim? We picked the Costa Nova tiles from @equipeceramicas and got some great advice from @xo_tile A few things to consider:
1. How visible will the edges be? If you have tiles only half way up the wall, a ledge or a niche than you might want to pick a tile that can have a mitred edge (if you can afford it!) or that you like the look of Schluters used there
2. What should the trim match - common options are grout, wall colour, tile colour or the hardware/metal you’re using elsewhere in the bathroom
3. Budget - don’t forget the labour of whatever you choose eg pencil or jolly tile edging will be more expensive than a trim and the nicer Schluters are a fair bit more expensive than the standard chrome
4. Do you want the trim to be a feature or to recede in the overall scheme?

Who knew grout could be so glam? I learned loads in @xo_tile today. I definitely wanted to steer clear of very light grouts and we settled on a nice medium grey that will let the tiles do the talking and won’t look too grubby in a few years. I had been advised by a few people and heard on podcasts that it’s worth splurging on Epoxy grout but after today it seems that’s more important with lighter coloured grouts, more prone to stains. Also good to know it can’t be used with underfloor heating. I have chosen Epoxy for the kitchen because the grout is a lighter terracotta colour and obviously kitchens are messy.
I’ve been living with some pretty grim bathrooms for years so I’m really excited to see the bathrooms take shape!
