How can I make this about me right? Sure. Definitely. I’ve spent years of my life composing and practicing with extreme self-control and discipline. Nevertheless I’m often seen as ‘provocative’ for the way I dress, for existing. Some men can’t manage basic self-control, with lethal consequences. With femicides on the rise, it’s essential to speak up and address this topic. So yes, I’ve made this about me, but it’s about all women. Maybe not every woman can control herself but all of us experience sexual harassment.
👊🏻👊🏼👊🏽👊🏾👊🏿
The musicians on the video in @concertgebouw , have nothing to do with this post - I’ll take full accountability.

Extremely excited for the coming season!! (And I think I’ve found myself a new hobby — but this wouldn’t be possible without the brilliant photo by @gregor_servais )
Can you make a whole orchestra play microtones? Apperently you can! My extreme gratitude goes to the musicians and especially to all the woodwinds & @mees.s.d.vos for their hard work on the glitters! Magie des paillettes, the third piece in my threepart orchestra work for @phionorkest ! Dedicated to the amazing Rick van Veldhuizen who was my tourguide in the wondering world of sparkles ✨💖
A for effort hahah Deadline season incoming!!! Almost finished my piece for London sinfonietta, very excited for the premiere in Concertgebouw #deadline #classical #classicalmusic #yoga #composer
2026 has been giving me lots of lemons so far, v ready to make lemonade and if it turns sour I’ll put it in my hair — I am a millennial and bleaching my hair with lemon juice is a core memory #millenialhacks #tamagotchi

-2026 = no more Schradiek 👹
Ended 2025 coaching the brilliant young violinists who’ll participate in the Davina van Wely competition. Very curious and excited to hear the results in January! Little appreciation post for all the amazing things and brilliant people 2025 had to offer (so many dreams came true 🥺) and immensely looking forward to all fun projects in 2026!!! ♥️♥️♥️
So there was nov music, the usual ♥️, Ricciotti w/ the best bassin player on earth, the RFO, OZ memories and they even performed my odd little IVC piece during nov music. V v blessed!!!!
Young composers rarely get the chance to hear their orchestral work performed. With our One Minute Symphony, composition students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague write a one-minute piece that the Residentie Orkest performs live. Alumni like Thomas van Dun, Karmit Fadael and Jan-Peter de Graaff took their first steps here and now receive major commissions. ‘This project really opened doors to the orchestral world for me,’ says Karmit Fadael.
