Approaching this from a small-scale production perspective, building something like a trailer—or even film-like sequences at this level is usually either out of reach or demands a disproportionate amount of time and resources. I treated this as a full traditional pipeline, keeping the storytelling, character design, and overall structure intact, but replacing the entire visual and concept production with AI to see how far and how fast it could go. The result genuinely surprised me. I never thought producing something like a trailer on my own was realistic before, but now it feels much more within reach even when thinking beyond just a short piece.
AI speeding up our workflow is something everyone can clearly see. Alongside how close it gets to realism, I’ve been trying to experiment with adding my personal human taste and self-story into a personal project—exploring another side of generative, and practicing the limits of world-building and storytelling with AI.
By the way, except for a sick poem 白媚生by #IcePaper, everything you’ve seen is generated by AI, mixed with a bit of my ideas through conversations with GPT.
There are still inconsistencies in color, quality, and generation speed—but I handled most of it through DP and mood tone.
Hope you feel something, maybe find a part of yourself—or a small part of me—in it. And hope you like it.
Maybe I’ll do a breakdown soon—if I have some time, and if it gets a bit of respect.
Thank for watching & have a nice weekend.

This experiment started because I was too lazy to spend a punch of sleepy hours masking sources in AE. By anchoring a few points and defining the motion, the WanATI workflow gives me a really quick way to control movement. However, it still struggles with understanding typography and fixed architecture, so it often produces some unwanted textures. But the morphs it generates can lead to some really interesting effect styles along the way.
The footage was captured during the very first time I visited Hong Kong and Taiwan. Also, thanks @vinhiam for inspiring me even more. If I get some time later, I might do a breakdown and share aworkflow. Hope you enjoy this trippy effect. Have a nice weekend!
