This project imagines a scenario where we can monitor and control our mind, body, and the environment around us, to not only help anxiety issues within our body but also achieve physical impact on the built environment around us, in response to the problem.
Made with Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Photoshop, and my precious heavy-duty sewing machine.

It is my first practice of what has been twisting in my mind for a long time. It’s also a crazy project to call an end of my 7years education of architecture, but architectural thinking will keep pushing me to a broader and deeper world. Until I made two garments I can call myself an actual maker. But I couldn’t achieve this without the guide and advices from Rachael @rachaelmccall and John @xzaqwsxzaqwsx . And thanks all the support from Jeremy @jeremykamal and Jen @jennifermulanchen from thesis prep, I really appreciate every serious discussion to make the project stronger. Can’t make them standing strong physically without Nandar @nandarmmt . And grateful for all the friends encouraging and taking care of me.

/What if a speculative garment that would externalize the mind and help with anxiety issue? What would it be like?
/Apparel is the smallest architectural unit. It uses one layer to impact both sides. It covers our body, like an offset of our skin, and provides various senses.
/Flexibility memorizes the movement and positions of our body in the surroundings. It stays in the temporary location that belongs to the past second in order to capture our environmental shape. On the other hand, it could also collect, adapt and transform data from the surroundings.
/This garment is a prototype of a concept that it could help us embody the mind and relief anxiety, in a world that we are free to show our vulnerability.

/What if a speculative garment that would externalize the mind and help with anxiety issue? What would it be like?
/Apparel is the smallest architectural unit. It uses one layer to impact both sides. It covers our body, like an offset of our skin, and provides various senses.
/Inflation magnifies those qualities by expanding. It could put pressure on specific spots to adjust the physiological system. On the other side, it can generate more space and become resistant.
/This garment is a prototype of a concept that it could help us embody the mind and relief anxiety, in a world that we are free to show our vulnerability.
