2025 was a very special year. I got to see a lot of new things and places, and I got to spend it with my favorite people ever. Closing out the year I feel so full of companionship and community, From friends across the country and even across the world, and I can’t think of any way I would have rather spent the last 365 days. Thanks to everyone who came out to a show I booked or played, listened to music I made or pitched a helping had at the High Limit Room, my life would be dimmer without you. Here’s to many more!
I guess 2 months later is as good a time as any to start posting about Iceland… some phone photos here, I’ll post the ones I took on my digital and film cameras…. Eventually
October 17th every year reminds me how proud I am to share the mark of Straight Edge with so many people I hold dear to my heart. Straight Edge now and forever, for me, for my friends, and for my family.
September 21st marks 10 years vegan and the month of September marks 15 years straight edge. To many people a life of abstinence may not make sense but for me it’s the only way. Both are personal choices I’ve made to reflect my commitment to liberation for all - humans and animals alike. Straight edge is not a trend, and veganism is not a diet or a fad. They are my life and part of my identity. Society wants us to destroy ourselves and our world, but never will I follow blindly.

Look at this damn photo. If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be watching some of my favorite bands on earth play to 500 people in Portland Oregon I would not have believed you. Having hundreds of friends in a room dancing their hearts out to the music I hold so dear is the most fulfilling thing I could ever imagine. This would not be possible without the support and help of people who have been putting on for the northwest and Portland specifically for years while this scene was coming into its own. Thank you to every single person who has come to a show, believed in us, played any show we’ve booked, and talked about us in other cities and gotten the word out. I can’t overstate the importance of everyone who helped make this a reality. If you’re in this photo, thank you. If you’re not in this photo, but were involved in any way, thank you too. This has been the coolest weekend of my life and I genuinely have no idea how we could possibly top this, but we’re sure as hell going to try. See you in 2026 and hopefully many shows in between. Hardcore lives.
