La radiación de una bomba nuclear es el estado eterno de su impacto. Everything is longing, raised by wolves. Frankenstein as a young sex worker. Reanimar la imagen-archivo a través de un simulacro de tradición pictórica (Caravaggio Bacchus chiaroscuro kitsch e.g.) pero atravesada por una necesidad de convertir a la pintura en objeto, la idea de permeabilidad y reanimación dirigen este proceso. Reanimar archivos superpuestos en estados líquidos, reanimar como Mary Shelley, no todo lo vivo se mueve, es presencia matérica. La noche y la luz convertidas en objeto vivo, presente, momificado como la fotografía pero orgánico como la goma, la resina. Fósiles reanimados. Ginsberg + Tzu is excited to present “Because Revolutions Never Happen,” a joint exhibition by Xavier Coronel (@x_coronelv ) and Jorge Morocho (@jorge__morocho ) curated by Teresa Arroyo de la Cruz (@teresarroyodelacruz ).   The title of the exhibition is inspired by Michael Krebber, a key figure in the Cologne art scene since the 1980s, known for challenging traditional painting conventions. (…) His approach reflects a broader art world sentiment that painting, while mature and well-defined, remains a fertile ground for exploration despite claims of its obsolescence. Richard Kalina and critics like Yves-Alain Bois and Douglas Fogle have discussed painting’s evolving role, suggesting that while it may not innovate in the same ways as other media, it continues to engage in deep, self-reflective work.   Morocho and Coronel, despite their different artistic paths, share a commitment to exploring painting’s potential. They both address the medium’s ambiguity and its ability to blend personal expression with broader cultural commentary. Morocho’s work often merges historical and contemporary elements, challenging hierarchies and exploring the anachronistic. Coronel creates chimeric, dystopian worlds, blending digital and traditional references to critique beauty and desire.
