Our FLINTA & LGBTQIA+ DJ workshops are here* ₊˚⊹♡ We’re launching our first DJ workshop series at WaterBear Venue, running from Feb 16 to April 27. Whether you’re touching the decks for the first time or looking to build confidence behind the booth, this beginner-to-intermediate course focuses on developing fundamental mixing skills on club-standard equipment from day one. Only 10 places available and a few are already filled. Applications are first come, first served > link in bio. Last Monday marked our final DJ workshop of the szn ₊˚⊹♡ We’re already planning more sessions for the summer, but first we’ve got two Open Deck nights coming up, with the first landing on May 22. Applications are now closed. Special thanks to @waterbearvenue for hosting the workshops, and to @peachfrutella for supporting behind the scenes and helping keep everything running smoothly. May 22 // X-Tapes open decks w/ Dykes on Decks We were invited by @dykes_on_decks to host the open decks in Room 2 at Horizon. 4 DJs will be selected to play 45 min sets. This is a beginner friendly space for emerging DJs, no pressure for perfection and full support from us throughout the night. The lineup will be selected quickly by early next week, so head to the link in bio to apply with either a short recorded set or just a selection of tracks you’d like to play. Last time we ran an open call, we received strong applications, but due to the collaboration setup, it didn’t go ahead as planned. X-Tapes & Indigaura at WaterBear venue on March 27 - Tix via link in bio ₊ ⊹ A shared sonic curiosity brought these two projects together. Indigaura moves in frequencies beyond the conventional soundscape, blending techno, tektribe, hard trance into a charged, multi-sensory realm. A realm where sound turns to light, created to connect deeply with human senses. X-Tapes cuts through the Brighton underground with fast BPMs, red-lit rooms and chains, spotlighting emerging FLINTA* & LGBTQIA+ talent. The music moves in fast, gritty and forward-thinking sounds of techno, industrial and hard trance. On 27th March, these worlds sync at WaterBear, sharing a zone of atmosphere, exploration and vision.
