The members of WXBC would like to remember Hazel Aude. For those of us who knew her and those who never got the chance to, Hazel was prolific. For the past two years, Hazel played an integral part in the music landscape at Bard, and was 24 Hour Drone’s biggest supporter. Last month, Hazel performed at 24 Hour Drone as Hazel’s La Monte Young Cover Band, covering Young’s 1962 piece, “The Second Dream of China.” WXBC wishes to honor her memory by directing you to the recording of her set, which can be found in the link in our bio and at wxbc.bard.edu. We’ll be broadcasting this performance, along with some of her original pieces, this Sunday at noon. She will be dearly missed, and her influence will continue to be felt in our community.
